A Labor of Love

Skip and Glenna bought their 1st home on a land contract in 1965 from an old-time builder, Mr. Miracle. As a way to help pay down the land contract, Skip started working for Mr. Miracle in the evenings and on weekends. Skip soon realized he had a passion for home building and he really enjoyed interacting with the home buyers and trades during construction.

In 1968 Skip started his own home building company. Glenna joined the company full-time in 1980. She was the key to keeping everyone and everything organized. Skip and Glenna made the perfect team. Skip saw the big picture. He did the developing, sales and construction. Glenna was the detail person, working hand in hand with each customer helping them put together their perfect new home.

In 1995 Skip and Glenna won the Inaugural Pacesetter Award for Customer Satisfaction from Custom Home magazine. The award was presented to them at the NAHB convention in Houston, Texas.

Jeff began working with his parents’ company in 1991, after graduating from college with a degree in business administration. Jeff started doing service work, site cleanup and some job site management duties. He attended customer meetings with his father in the evenings. Jeff has worked in a variety of company roles during the past 28 years. He is now taking the reins to build upon and continue the legacy of homebuilding excellence and customer satisfaction that his parents have created. Jeff is a “hands-on-builder” with old school values. Jeff spends time with each customer on-site selection, plan customization and on the job walk-throughs during construction. He makes personal daily job site visits to oversee the details necessary to create a well-built home for each customer.

They have developed and/or built homes in many Jackson Township premier neighborhoods during the past 50 years: Hunters Chase, Scotsbury Hills, Mudbrook Village, Aberdeen Ridge, Briarwood Hills, Audubon Ridge, Greenbriar, Scenic Wonderland Hills, Woodmoor Estates, Westmoor Estates, Perry Hills, Colonial Hills, and Oak Shadows in New Philadelphia.
